O Postulado de Blindagem Ontológica formaliza, em termos lakatosianos, a arquitectura interna do Corpus Informacional. Imre Lakatos descreveu os programas de investigação científica como estruturas de duas camadas: um núcleo duro, protegido por decisão metodológica dos investigadores, e um cinto protetor de hipóteses auxiliares que absorvem os testes empíricos e podem ser revistas, corrigidas ou abandonadas sem que o núcleo seja tocado.
O PBO é o acto formal que declara qual é o núcleo duro do Corpus — a Teoria Informacional de Tudo (TIT), enquanto axioma ontológico de que a informação é o substrato primário do real — e que o protege explicitamente de refutação empírica directa. Não se trata de dogmatismo: é precisamente o oposto. What is the OSP?
The methodological rule that separates, within the Informational Corpus, what is axiom from what is testable hypothesis.
The Ontological Shielding Postulate formalises, in Lakatosian terms, the internal architecture of the Informational Corpus. Imre Lakatos described scientific research programmes as two-layer structures: a hard core, protected by the researchers' methodological decision, and a protective belt of auxiliary hypotheses that absorb empirical tests and can be revised, corrected, or abandoned without the core being touched.
The OSP is the formal act that declares what the hard core of the Corpus is — the Informational Theory of Everything (TIT), as the ontological axiom that information is the primary substrate of reality — and that explicitly protects it from direct empirical refutation. This is not dogmatism: it is precisely the opposite. By openly declaring what is shielded, the OSP prevents shielding from happening tacitly and unexamined, as occurs in many scientific programmes that hide their core under an appearance of neutrality.
Everything that is not the core — the Theory of Digital Revelation (TDR), the Universal Dynamic Informational Ontology (OIC/U), the Informational Emergency Hypothesis of Consciousness (HEIC), the Revelational Primacy Hypothesis (HPR), and the entire set of applied constructs of the Corpus — belongs to the protective belt: it can be tested, it can fail, it can be revised, without this affecting the ontological axiom the OSP protects.

This separation solves a classic problem of unifying theories: without it, any unfavourable experimental result would threaten the entire edifice of the Corpus. With the OSP, a negative result — as happened in three of the four pre-registered criteria of SAER v2 — refines the protective belt without calling into question the ontological proposal that information is the fabric of the real.

Principles of the OSP
Five principles that guide the application of shielding across the whole Corpus.
Shielding is declared, not tacit
The hard core is explicitly named. No theory in the Corpus is protected by omission or rhetorical ambiguity — only by an openly assumed methodological decision.
Shielding protects the axiom, not the applications
The OSP never protects HEIC, HPR, TDR, or OIC/U from refutation. It protects only the ontological claim that information is the primary substrate of reality (TIT).
The core changes by replacement, not by isolated refutation
A single negative result — such as a failed SAER protocol — is never sufficient reason to abandon the core. Changing the core would require a more progressive rival programme, in the Lakatosian sense.
All falsifiability shifts to the protective belt
It is in the protective belt — TDR, OIC/U, HEIC, HPR, and the applied constructs — that all of the Corpus's empirical discipline resides. That is where data can contradict theory.
Shielding is honest about what it does not resolve

TIT — Informational Theory of Everything
This is precisely the object of shielding. The OSP exists to declare that TIT's axiom — reality as information in its genesis — is not subject to direct falsifiability. TIT supplies the content; the OSP supplies the rule that protects it.
TDR — Theory of Digital Revelation
Describes the dynamic mechanism (the Handshake) through which the core's informational structures (OID/Us) manifest and interact. Being in the protective belt, the TDR is free to be corrected in its mechanism — without this touching the axiom the OSP protects.
OIC/U — Universal Dynamic Informational Ontology

None of these constructs is, or can be, protected by the OSP. Their function is precisely the opposite: they are the points where the Corpus deliberately exposes itself to the risk of refutation, so that the nuclear axiom can be maintained with Lakatosian integrity.
Limites do PBO
A blindagem tem um preço. O PBO é honesto sobre o que esse preço implica.

Limits of the OSP
Shielding has a price. The OSP is honest about what that price entails.
- The OSP does not demonstrate that TIT is true — it only declares that, within the Corpus programme, TIT is treated as an axiom. The axiom's truth remains, by definition, outside the reach of direct testing.
- The OSP does not protect HEIC, HPR, TDR, or OIC/U — nor any of the applied constructs. Confusing the shielding of the core with immunity of the derived theories would be a misreading of the postulate.
- The OSP does not resolve the demarcation problem between science and metaphysics — it acknowledges and organises it, in Lakatosian fashion, rather than denying it.
- The OSP does not prevent the replacement of the core itself. Should a rival programme emerge that is more progressive than TIT, the OSP must be reassessed — shielding is a decision of the current programme, not a perpetual guarantee.
The OSP should be read as an instrument of methodological discipline, not as a claim of infallibility. It is what makes it possible to say, with rigour, where reasonable faith in the project ends and empirical work begins.
